A “crowd experiment” to illustrate uncertainty in the estimation of energy savings.
We’re asking readers to send in their measurements of this piece of string before and after some of it is cut off. We’ll pool all the results to illustrate how uncertainty in energy consumption measurements before and after an energy-saving measure contribute to uncertainty in the savings (represented by the bit of string that was cut off).
